چکیده
We estimated the spectral evolution of white dwarfs with effective temperature using Javalambre Photometric Local Universe Survey (J-PLUS) second data release (DR2), that provides twelve photometric optical passbands over 2176 deg2. analysed 5926 r <= 19.5 mag in common between a dwarf catalog defined from Gaia EDR3 and J-PLUS DR2. performed Bayesian analysis by comparing observed photometry theoretical models hydrogen (H) helium (He) dominated atmospheres. PDF for (Teff), surface gravity, parallax, type; probability having H-dominated atmosphere (pH) each source. applied prior measurements as reference, derived self-consistent atmospheric composition function Teff. described fraction He-dominated (fHe) linear Teff at 5000 < 30000 K. found fHe = 0.24 +- 0.01 10000 K, change rate along cooling sequence 0.14 0.02 per 10 kK, minimum 0.08 high-temperature end. tested obtained pH comparison spectroscopic classifications, finding it is reliable. mass distribution 351 sources distance d 100 pc, M > 0.45 Msun, 6000 The result agrees previous work, dominant 0.59 Msun peak presence an excess ~ 0.8 Msun. This high-mass absent distribution, which presents single peak. reliable statistical classification into H- find 21 3 % increase 20000 K to

New Spectral Analyses of Pre-white Dwarfs
The very hot, H-deecient PG 1159 stars are found in the post-AGB region of the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram. Most likely the \born-again" post-AGB scenario is valid for their evolution. It predicts a nal He-ash which brings back the star to the AGB, followed by a second (He burning) descent from the AGB where a superwind may take oo the entire H-rich and most of the He-rich envelope and lay bare...
متن کاملThe evolution of helium white dwarfs I .
We present a grid of evolutionary tracks for low-mass white dwarfs with helium cores in the mass range from 0.179 to 0.414 M . The lower mass limit is well-suited for comparison with white dwarf companions of millisecond pulsars. The tracks are based on a 1 M model sequence extending from the pre-main sequence stage up to the tip of the red-giant branch. Applying large mass loss rates at approp...
متن کاملMagnetic Field Evolution in Accreting White Dwarfs
We discuss the evolution of the magnetic field of an accreting white dwarf. We calculate the ohmic decay modes for accreting white dwarfs, whose interiors are maintained in a liquid state by compressional heating. We show that the lowest order ohmic decay time is (8–12) billion years for a dipole field, and (4–6) billion years for a quadrupole field. We then compare the timescales for ohmic dif...
متن کاملOn the Spectral Evolution of Cool, Helium-Atmosphere White Dwarfs: Detailed Spectroscopic and Photometric Analysis of DZ Stars
We present a detailed analysis of a large spectroscopic and photometric sample of DZ white dwarfs based on our latest model atmosphere calculations. We revise the atmospheric parameters of the trigonometric parallax sample of Bergeron, Leggett, & Ruiz (12 stars) and analyze 147 new DZ white dwarfs discovered in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. The inclusion of metals and hydrogen in our model atmo...
متن کاملSpectral modeling of gaseous metal disks around DAZ white dwarfs
We report on our attempt for the first non-LTE modeling of gaseous metal disks around single DAZ white dwarfs recently discovered by Gänsicke et al. and thought to originate from a disrupted asteroid. We assume a Keplerian rotating viscous disk ring composed of calcium and hydrogen and compute the detailed vertical structure and emergent spectrum. We find that the observed infrared Ca ii emissi...
